Early airline websites were simple, static pages with limited interactivity, as we will see from the internet archive site Wayback Machine. The main goal was to provide flight schedules and fare information, but as the internet evolved, airlines began integrating basic booking systems. Here, we will investigate 10 of the earliest airline websites and what users experienced while surfing the web in the mid-1990s.
