The DA42 TwinStar manufactured by Diamond Aviation is quite an interesting light aircraft. For aircraft in this class, which specialize in ferrying small numbers of people over fairly short distances, most planes have a single engine, yet the DA42 has two. It turns out that this, along with prioritizing safety as a design ethos, greatly contributed to what resulted in a very sleek and useful twin propeller aircraft.
