Over 75 airlines will have long-haul passenger flights to/from the US this year. Naturally, they will operate their own aircraft in virtually every case. However, analyzing every planned flight using Cirium Diio data shows that four carriers will temporarily lease equipment from other airlines. It is so rare that just 0.22% of the country’s long-haul services—one in every 455—will operate like this.
