The first series of B-21 Raider test flights at Edwards Air Force Base in 2024 represent a major leap forward for United States military aviation. Since its unveiling in December 2022, the B-21 Raider has captured the world’s attention as the latest stealth bomber developed by Northrop Grumman. Named in honor of the Doolittle Raiders of World War II, the B-21 is the first sixth-generation aircraft ever developed. It is intended to replace the B-2 Spirit Bomber and Rockwell B-1 Lancer, as well as the Boeing B-52 Superfortress.
