On Dec 12, 2024, Kennon Nichols, the supervisor for the remotely piloted aircraft MQ-9 Reaper of the Air Force Engineering and Technical Services AFETS team, secured funding to bring 3D printing capabilities to Creech Air Force Base, Indian Springs, NV, USA. He partnered with Col. Joseph Deporter to establish a 3D printing facility and purchase two 3D printers. This helped run MQ-9 spare parts training needs for maintainers, addressing logistical and financial challenges previously affecting the training.
